Bumbled by the ELS, IIT Kanpur was Valentine’s Day reimagined; less roses and red hearts, more plot twists and poetry. Participants filled out a form with their favourite literary genres (because nothing says romance like arguing over Kafka vs. Colleen Hoover), and our trusty algorithm did Cupid’s job with better data handling. The most compatible pairs, aka the Shakespeare-approved soulmates, got to unmask the mystery and meet face-to-face. Who knew “prefers tragic endings” could be the beginning of something beautiful?
